Road Safety Week

9th November 2015

23rd -29th November 2015

The theme for Road Safety Week this year is ‘Drive less, live more’.  It’s all about using cars less, making roads safer for all users, making the great outdoors a better place to be and protecting the planet as well as the people on it!

To engage our children in the campaign, we’re asking them to think about their favourite wacky way to get to school.  There will be a prize for the most creative entry in each class, and all children taking part will receive a fluorescent ‘giveaway’ to help them be seen more easily in the dark.

We’re being supported in this by the Brain Injury Group, a community interest company and membership organisation that supports for people affected by brain injury.  The Brain Injury Group has promoted Road Safety Week for several years because the campaign is designed to raise awareness of road safety and reduce accidents and injuries; road traffic collisions are currently the leading cause of brain injury in the UK.  Their local member firm, Barcan & Kirby Solicitors, will be helping us judge the competition entries in each class and award prizes.
