School Admission

Visiting the school

If your child turn 5 between 1st September 2018 and 30th August 2019 they are due to start school next September.

Each Autumn we hold two Open Mornings for parents of children due to start in Reception the following September.

Our open mornings for this year's intake have already taken place and the deadline for Reception applications has passed.

If you are considering applying for a place at Hillcrest at any other time of year, call Sue, Jill or Juliet in the school office to arrange a time for one of us to show you around the school.

Bristol City Council are responsible for the entire admissions process. Our admin team will be able to advise you on who to contact and when. However, please be aware that we have no influence over how places are allocated.

In order to meet the needs of the children already on roll, teaching and learning spaces need to be used flexibly and for a variety of purposes. Therefore Hillcrest Primary School Governors have determined that the maximum class size will be 30 children to enable the most effective teaching and learning to take place in a refurbished, undersized Victorian building.
