Mailbag 10 June 2022

Mailbag 13 May 2022

Lost Property

In playground and classrooms, you wouldn't believe

The number of items that our children leave:

Lunch bags and boxes

And coats by the score,

Jumpers and cardies and T shirts and more.

Wellies and trainers left over from camp,

Most of them smelly and all of them damp.

Watches and hairbands, mobiles and socks,

Bottles of water and bicycle locks.

A lone shoe, and some pants

From some bare little bot!

And teddies and hoodies and daps...

Such a lot!

All of it waiting in heaps to be claimed.

Mounting and mounting, and NONE OF IT NAMED!

Oh no! A disaster!

There’s been a landslide.

Reception is buried

And Cat’s still inside!

Mrs Fleming (with apologies to Roger McGough)

We have a HUGE pile of lost property from the last two weeks. PLEEEEEEEASE PUT A NAME ON ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING, WATER BOTTLES AND PACKED LUNCHES.

99 -100% OF NAMED ITEMS GET BACK TO THEIR OWNER, BUT UNNAMED ITEMS ONLY HAVE A 0 - 5 % CHANCE.
