A thank you and a request...

Thank you to everyone that came out to support us last Saturday to celebrate our first day as a community-owned pool. It was lovely to see so many of your faces and share in our vision for the future.

And, it seems, you really like cake! - Over the course of the day we raised just over £2,000, to help us prepare for the Winter and the rise in energy costs.

As many of you will know, we need to raise a sum of £30,000 by December to ensure that can keep the pool open during the colder months. Without this, the pool will sadly close forever. Whilst the building is now in our hands, the reality is, there is no safety net.

What can you do to help?

1. Become a member of the pool (if you're not already) - £25 a month allows you to visit the pool and gym as many times as you like and there is no cancellation fee.

2. Give a one-off donation - Every little bit really does help! (Don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box)

3. Organise your own fundraising event, at the school, work or with family and friends. Maybe we can't all run the marathon, but we can sit in baked beans!! 😆 (Did you know that we are now officially a charity? Check with your employer to see if they operate 'matched giving'?).
