Art on the Forecourt - The Wild Escape

22 April - 23 April 2023   

Young artists from Hillcrest Primary School, Barton Hill Academy and The Dolphin School have collaborated with artist Jasmine Thompson to create energetic artworks highlighting the importance of our natural world as part of the Art Fund's project, The Wild Escape. Drop by the RWA forecourt on Earth Day weekend (22nd - 23rd April) to view these vibrant and thoughtful artworks exploring the future of our oceans and what the waters might look like if the damage caused by the climate crisis is reversed or continued.

PhotoLab

28 Jan - 23 April 2023  

There's only a few days left to visit PhotoLab, a place for everyone to explore, play and investigate across the lower ground floor. Coinciding with the RWA Photo Open Exhibition 2023. In the Family Learning Space you will find self-led creative activities inspired by photography, and in the History Gallery you will find objects such as lenses, mirrors, lights and even a darkroom installation to explore with all your senses. Not just for children, PhotoLab challenges adults and young people with camera phones to use the lightbox to photograph something special that later gets displayed on RWA digital screens.

Tuesday Teatime Tour

Tuesday 25 April, 2pm - 4pm

  We warmly invite older people, especially those living with dementia and their companions, to join us for an exhibition tour of the RWA Photo Open Exhibition 2023, followed by tea and cake. Enjoy time in the gallery, where an experienced facilitator will actively encourage reminiscence, creative conversation and looking closely at artworks.
