Admission - Applying for a primary school place
The Bristol City Council Primary Admissions Department manages the whole admissions process.
Our school office team can advise you who to contact and when but we have no influence over how places are allocated.

2021 Reception Intake
If your child's 5th birthday will be between 1st September 2021 and 30th August 2022 they are due to start school in September 2021.
Applications opened on Saturday 12th September 2020 for a Reception place in September 2021.
The deadline for applications was midnight on Friday 15th January 2021.
Offers were sent out on Friday 16th April and the deadline for responses was Friday 30th April 2021.
Visiting the school
Each Autumn we hold an Open Morning for parents of children due to start school the following September.
Last Autumn, because of Covid-19 precautions, we held this via Zoom.

The number of children at Hillcrest
Our School Governors have set the maximum class size at 30 children, to allow the most flexible and effective use of our refurbished, undersized, Victorian building.
We have two form entry - two classes of 30 children in each year group.
