Infection - when should your child stay off school?

You can download the Government guidelines on infection control in schools that we follow at Hillcrest here.
It's a short, straight-forward booklet with clear tables listing all the infectious illnesses and conditions children are likely to contract and telling you whether your child needs to stay away from school.
We are most frequently asked about diarrhoea and vomiting - as tummy bugs spread so easily, the affected child must not return to school until a clear 48 hours after the last instance of either.
