A massive THANK YOU to all the parents who have helped to organise and run Friends events and fundraisers this term. Together you have raised:
Christmas cards £372.74
Film night £460.25
Parents disco £518
Christmas fair £1744.81
Parents’ Survey - Thanks to everyone who has already completed our online questionnaire. We welcome your feedback. For some reason, though, we haven’t had nearly as many responses as usual, so we are leaving the survey open for a few more days so more parents have the chance to let us know how we’re doing. We know it’s a busy time of year but it does only take a couple of minutes to complete. (When it comes to our next Ofsted inspection, it’s important that we can show that the school consults parents and that parents engage in return.) Thank you.
Don’t forget Christmas Jumper Day on Friday. Children and staff are invited to wear their most Christmassy pullover and bring in £1 for Save the Children.
Caring at Christmas will be taking over the Julian Trust Night Shelter from 23rd December to 1st January, providing shelter, food, warmth, company, activities, emotional and medical support and a welcoming atmosphere for those experiencing homelessness at an acutely difficult time of the year. Thank you for the generous donations people brought in on Monday. We will be collecting by the gate at drop off and pick up again next Monday. Please click HERE for the list of items they are particularly interested in receiving. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference to somebody this Christmas.
Reception & Yr 1 Nativity reminder - The children need to come in at 5.30 tomorrow to get ready for their evening performance. The show starts at 6.00. It’s fine to take photos and videos but please don’t share them on social media.
Yr 1 - There are still parents who haven’t given permission (and paid) for their child to go on tomorrow’s Old Vic theatre trip. Please do so on Gateway or your child won’t be able to go.
Next term’s enrichment programme will be in Friday’s Mailbag.
Our Language of the Month is Spanish. See Miss Wilson’s Golden Ticket Challenges
Phone handed in - There is a small, pink Alcatel PIXI phone in the office.
Christmas Cards, mugs etc - We still have a great big box of orders in the office awaiting collection.
Yr 4 - No swimming next Tuesday. There will be three more sessions, from 7th January.
Look out for your next Mailbag on Friday.
