Cemetery Gate - Arnos Vale have asked us to pass on their sincere apologies for failing to unlock the top gate yesterday morning. They were let down by their security firm.

Radio shout-out - Miss Norman got us, and our triumphant netballers in particular, a mention on Sara Cox’s teatime Radio 2 show on Friday! You can hear the clip here.

Match report - Sorry... we hope to have the promised netball match report in time for Friday’s Mailbag.

Spread the Happiness appeal - Alongside our Matthew Tree food bank collection, this term we are collecting food for another registered charity that supports families living below the poverty line, through the provision of hampers. Each year group has a suggested item to collect. Hampers will be made up for families in South Bristol likely to suffer from holiday hunger over the February half term. Items are being collected and stored in the classrooms. We are asking for:

Reception        Tinned fruit                              Yr 1     Dried pasta

Yr 2                Breakfast cereal                     Yr 3     Tinned hot-dogs & beans with sausages

Yr 4                 Tinned vegetables                   Yr 5     Tinned potatoes

Yr 6                 Soap & multipack crisps

Thank you for your support.

Equality - Ella, Daisy, Clemmie, Ojal, Olive and Lula from 6BP have collaborated to create a really fantastic display about equality on the big whiteboard near the KS2 library. We’re so impressed that we’re sharing it on the home page of the school website, here.

Ukulele Club - Aidan still has a couple of spaces available in his popular class, starting after school this Thursday. It’s a great instrument to start on and he makes it really fun. The tuition is open to children from Yr 1 - Yr 6. Email Aidan for details: aidanharpsheehan@gmail.com

Gateway - Please make sure you use the School Gateway website, not the app (even though Gateway prompt you to download it).

Pick up arrangements - It’s a big help if you can drop us a text, rather than phoning, if you need to let us know about any changes. Pop the number in your contacts: 0117 3250117

Yr 6 Fundraiser Dates - The children will be holding three after school sales to raise money for their leavers’ bowling and cinema trip:

Thursday 13th February                      Books & Clothes Sale

Thursday 30th April                             Plant Sale

Thursday 14th May                             Cake Sale
