Summer Exhibition - Do have a look at the huge variety of artworks children have submitted to our 2D, 3D and Digital on line art galleries under the Lockdown Social tab.

It would be fantastic to have something in the exhibition from every child. Send your artworks, as many as you like, to Juliet at jfleming@hillcrest.bristol.sch - we’re open for submissions right up to the end of term and everything you send will be displayed in one of the galleries.

Let’s make this the biggest and best art exhibition in Hillcrest history!

New in Learning at Home today - We’ve added several new links to the Resources to Support Mental Health page here.

Yr 6 - Next week the Yr 6 children who are in school will be beginning their Relationships and Sex Education lessons, covering puberty and childbirth. Please download the parents’ letter and details of our Jigsaw SRE curriculum here.

Not able to come back to school yet? Now you know who the class teachers will be for next year (here), your child might enjoy making a Coming Back to School sheet to let their new teacher know how they’re feeling, what they’re looking forward to and if they have any questions or worries. You can print a copy of the sheet out here or your child can use it as inspiration to design their own version. Make sure their name is on it, pop it into an envelope addressed to the teacher it and drop it into school before the end of term. Or you can scan it and email it to school@hillcrest.bristol.sch.uk, being sure to put the teacher’s name in the subject bar.

Virtual School Summer Games - We hope that lots of you are taking part in the weekly challenges. Check out the video and challenge card for Week 3 - ‘Tuck in, Tuck out’ - on the Lockdown Social page.

SEN and additional needs - We hope parents are finding the targeted SEND information and resources under Learning at Home helpful. If there’s anything else you would like to see, or if you come across useful resources elsewhere that you would like us to share please let us know.

Look out for your next Mailbag on Friday.
