As the children break up on Thursday, this is the final Mailbag of the term. Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd January are Inset days. The new term starts for children on Monday 6th January.

Warmest wishes for a happy, peaceful and relaxing Christmas.

Christmas Celebrations - Yrs 2 & 3 this evening and Yrs 4, 5 & 6 tomorrow, in Totterdown Baptist Church. Please drop children off at school at 5.30 (when we will tell you which door of the church to collect them from later) and, if you are going to the celebration, make your way to the church. There is plenty of room so we are not limiting the number of seats per family or taking bookings. The children are invited to wear something Christmassy but, so the children behind aren’t hidden, no hats or antlers please.

Christmas Dinner reminder - If you have NOT booked the Christmas meal for your child (even if they would normally have a school dinner) they will need to bring a packed lunch on Thursday. All the children will be eating in the big hall together and enjoying the festive atmosphere, whether they’re having a Christmas dinner or their packed lunch.

Enrichment Clubs - Don’t forget to book clubs for next term. Most start the first week back. Of the school-run ones, there are just two places left in Mrs Loader’s Sphero Club on Wednesdays (programming robots!), six in Mr Barham’s Minecraft Club on Tuesdays.

Our brand new KS2 Gymnastics Club on Mondays will be run by coaches from Premier Education. Premier is British Gymnastics’ national delivery partner for UK primary schools. They’re on a mission to give every child the opportunity to try gymnastics in their own school! There are lots of places still available in the club. Book on Gateway.

Future Stars will be running Holiday Clubs at Hillcrest for three days in the Christmas holidays. They will be offering fun activities on Monday 23rd December, Thursday 2nd January and Friday 3rd January. They accept Childcare Vouchers and Tax Credits. Click here to book places.
