Hello! How are you getting on?
A massive shout out to all those doing their home learning and sharing it on Seesaw! Miss Silver spoke for all the teachers, saying “I’ve been amazed at how many of mine are doing it. It makes my day. xx”
Thank you to Reception for a perfect feel-good song! And we’ve had some useful tips on how to sort washing from Yr 5!
We’ve added some more learning links for French, including some fun songs, to the Learning at Home resources page.
Hillcrest’s Got Talent is still going ahead, albeit remotely. There will be a category for children and another for staff and parents. If you would like to enter, please sent your clips to Juliet at email@example.com (if your video is too big to send by email you could upload it to YouTube and send us the URL). We’ll be posting all the entries on the Hillcrest Social page on the website. We’re hoping Elodie, who promised a teachers’ talent competition in her election manifesto, and the rest of the House Captains will be our on line judges on Friday 3rd April.
Our Hillcrest Social page on the website is growing! (Though gremlins attacked this afternoon and deleted the lot! We can rebuild… we have the technology!) Keep the contributions coming. It’s great to see what people are up to at home and to share ideas. How about sending us pictures of children with their pets? Or sharing an easy recipe that children can make? There’s a Wilma caption competition – what’s she up to now? Miss Norman’s Mum has sent us the first caption!
Rainbows everywhere! If you’re out for your daily exercise, there are rainbows to look out for, popping up in front windows all over the area. If you haven’t made one already, painting or colouring one to put in your window is something fun for children to do.
Key Workers – We emailed a link to a short survey of your childcare needs yesterday. If you haven’t had a chance to fill it in yet, please do, even if it’s just to tell us you no longer want to take up the childcare. Sorry to nag but we need the information to plan our staffing. Click here for the questionnaire. Thank you.
Stay safe and look out for your next Mailbag on Friday, unless there are any important updates in the meantime.
