Visiting the school
If your child turn 5 between 1st September 2019 and 30th August 2020 they are due to start school in September 2019.
Each Autumn we hold two Open Mornings for parents of children due to start in Reception the following September.
The dates will be published on here when they are set, usually early in September.
(In the meantime, you might like to look at this year's Open Morning presentation at the foot of the page. You can find general information about primary school admissions on the Bristol City Council website. )
If you are considering applying for a place at Hillcrest at any other time of year, call Sue, Jill or Juliet in the school office to arrange a time for one of us to show you around the school.
You can download the Open Morning presentation at the foot of the page.
Bristol City Council are responsible for the entire admissions process. Our admin team will be able to advise you on who to contact and when. However, please be aware that we have no influence over how places are allocated.
In order to meet the needs of the children already on roll, teaching and learning spaces need to be used flexibly and for a variety of purposes. Therefore Hillcrest Primary School Governors have determined that the maximum class size will be 30 children to enable the most effective teaching and learning to take place in a refurbished, undersized Victorian building.
