Three Parks Challenge

22nd May 2020

DON’T FORGET THE FRIENDS OF HILLCREST THREE PARKS CHALLENGE OVER HALF TERM!

We hope you can join in with the Three Parks Challenge sponsored walk!

To avoid congestion, the suggested dates for each year group are below, but if you can’t make those dates or have siblings in other year groups and want to double up that’s no problem.

The key is that it’s a fun challenge that families can do under their own steam and we want everyone to stay safe – so, adhering to government guidelines on social distancing and taking care of yourselves. Go at your own pace, make sure you stay hydrated and wear sun protection.

It would also be lovely if families could mark the event by sharing pictures to go on the Lockdown Social page on the website. Send your photos to jfleming@hillcrest.bristol.sch.uk

Reception - Sat 23rd

Yr 1 - Sun 24th

Yr 2 - Mon 25th

Yr 3 - Tues 26th

Yr 4 - Weds 27th

Yr 5 - Thurs 28th

Yr6 - Fri 29th

You will find a sponsorship form and a rather lovely printable map to show you the route HERE.

As no-one wants to be handling cash at the moment, we request that all donations are made via Paypal:

https://paypal.me/pools/c/8p1l0jdTBl, noting your NAME & CLASS.

If you manage to raise over £10 you will be eligible to collect a THREE PARKS CHALLENGE 2020 wrist band from school, when you start back.

The walk covers the following route https://bit.ly/2Z2QN09.  If you fancy a bigger challenge then you can always add another couple of kilometers to your route by extending it to include Victoria Park: https://bit.ly/2T9nHbv

All routes will have Hillcrest “Three Parks Challenge” way markers (in a clockwise direction).

This is likely to be the main Friends fundraising activity of this year so we really hope you can take part and enjoy a school community activity that gets us out and about during the holidays, whilst staying safe.

Paralympian Jack Rutter, who supported our last sponsored event in January, is cheering us on!
