Yr 3 Daily Tasks Week beginning 11 May

Hi Everyone,

Today's tasks include another extract from Kensuke's Kingdom, a publishing task which involves aging some paper for a realistic look, some Mathematical problems for you to apply your skills to and a PSHE task which we hope will be a positive experience.

Keep posting all your lovely work - it's so great to be seeing all that you're doing.

Have a lovely day.

Hi Everyone,

It was lovely to see you on our Zoom meeting yesterday, and to hear & see all the lovely things you've been up to. It's always really good to be able to see you face-to face.

So, today we've planned some more reading from Kensuke's Kingdom, a 'big write' of your diary entry as a Tudor sailor, some new learning about calculating perimeter (with a video to help) and a portrait activity inspired by our learning about the Tudors period of history.

Keep up all your lovely work, keep posting it or e-mailing it so we can see what you've been up to and, above all, be kind and stay safe.

Have a lovely day.

Hi Everyone,

We're looking forward to seeing you on Zoom this afternoon. Remember to bring something to show or talk about.

Today's tasks include some reading from Kensuke's Kingdom, a chance to plan your diary paragraphs, some subtraction of different lengths and an Athlete's task to test your stamina.

Have a lovely day - see you later on.

Hi Everyone,

We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for posting such fantastic learning on Seesaw, as well as some lovely messages. Keep it up, especially the beautiful examples of work you're showing us - we're so proud of you for all that you're doing.

Today your tasks include some more reading from Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo, some sentence writing work to help with your diary entry later in the week, some 'real-life' Mathematical problems involving adding different lengths and, as Historians, an activity where you'll explore historical artefacts by ranking them.

We've also added a Zoom invitation for our weekly catch-up. This week, we'll have a quick chat with you individually about something you'd like to share. It'll be a bit like a circle time, where everyone takes turns to say something while the rest of you listen in. You can bring something to show, tell us about a new skill you've been working on, share some news or tell us anything else you'd like to share. We're looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Everyone,

We hope you've had a lovely long weekend and enjoyed some of the VE Day celebrations on Friday.

This week we'll be exploring a new book in our Reading Tasks - Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. As authors, you'll also be continuing with your diary writing but, this time, from the point of view of a Tudor sailor which will link closely to your learning as Historians. As Mathematicians, you'll be using your skills with converting units of measurement to help you compare different measures.

Keep posting all your wonderful work and messages on Seesaw - we love seeing them.

Have a lovely day everyone.
