Yr 3 Daily Tasks Week beginning 20 April

Hi Everyone,
Here are today's tasks - publishing and/or performing your poem, reading some more about a strange character from A.F. Harrold's book, 'The Imaginary', learning about tenths as decimals and thinking about growth mindset.
We've also added a Maths video to help with your understanding of decimals, and some spelling documents for you to work on over the next few weeks.
Keep up the amazing work everybody, and have a lovely weekend.

Hi Everyone,
It was lovely to see so many of you on our Zoom meetings yesterday - we miss you all loads and it was great to see all your lovely faces and to have some fun together. If you weren't able to join us, don't worry. We'll hopefully see you next week.
Today's tasks include some poetry editing, reading about a strange girl (from The Imaginary by A.F. Harrold), placing fractions on a number-line and enjoying a drawing challenge.
Have a look here to find out more.

Hi Everyone,

Today's tasks include reading more about Mr Bunting (from 'The Imaginary' by A.F. Howard), writing some poetic sentences and phrases, comparing unit fractions and doing a bit of a workout with Mr Barham.

Have a look at the activities below.  And, of course, don't forget to join our Zoom meeting this afternoon at 2:00pm (3NA) or 2:30pm (3DB) - Ms Macnab is joining us too, which will be fantastic! We're really looking forward to seeing all of you and we've got a fun activity planned for you to do that we think you'll all really enjoy. See you later on!

We've added an extra task about Earth Day, which you might like to do.  Every year on 22nd April, Earth Day celebrates the beginnings of the modern movement to protect our environment.  Have a look at the activity below.

Hi Everyone,
Here are today's tasks. We'd like you to compare non-unit fractions today, generate some ideas for your Joseph Coelho poem, answer some questions about a piece of text from one of Mr Barham's favourite books - The Imaginary by A.F. Harrold - and do some research about the history of Bristol's floating harbour.
Have a look below for more details.
PS: Don't forget our Zoom meeting on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. We've attached a parents' guide for your grown-ups. We're really looking forward to seeing you.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you've all been able to enjoy a break from your learning activities and make the most of the sunshine whenever and wherever you've been safely able to do so.
Today's learning tasks are attached below. You'll be revising your fractions knowledge, exploring poetry that uses great imagery, reading about the history of transport and telling us some of the places you've visited around the UK and beyond.
We're also going to be starting weekly Zoom meetings this term, so that we can all catch up face-to-face. We're really looking forward to it as we're really missing seeing all of you! Our meetings will be on a Wednesday afternoon each week, at 2:00pm and we'd love to see you all there. Details of how to join the meetings will follow in a separate document.
Happy Monday everyone!
