Hillcrest sits at the heart of the community with close links with many local organisations - Sydenham Road Under Fives (who use our playground), Totterdown Baptist Church, Holy Nativity Church, TRESA (Totterdown Residents Environmental and Social Association), Totterdown Children's Community Workshop, Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust and the Totterdown Front Rooms Art Trail, to name but a few.  There are also local businesses (some owned by current or ex-Hillcrest families) who are very much engaged with the school.

The school building is a valued community resource and the hall is used outside school hours for a range of classes and events.

The Hillcrest community supports many charities and the children are always keen to be involved in fund raising events throughout the year.  Dressing up and cake sales are always popular! 

The school is a collection point for the Matthew Tree Food Bank at certain times of year. 

Hillcrest is a key venue in the annual Totterdown Front Rooms Art Trail, when the school building is open to the public, hosting a variety of artists and children's workshops.
