Womankind supports all woman aged 16 years and older who might be struggling with their mental health or experiences of violence and abuse. We offer a range of support services, including counselling, befriending and a telephone and webchat helpline.   

The Womankind webchat is a free and confidential messaging service that offers empathetic, non-judgemental listening support from trained volunteers.   

There are several benefits to the webchat.  

• It offers privacy for women who may not want to be overheard or are anxious to speak to speak on the phone. 

• It offers a space for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing women. 

• It has built in translation technology, which means that women can access emotional support in their preferred language.  

The webchat can currently be translated into 20 different languages. If you do not see your preferred language listed, you can email the helpline, and we can add your chosen language.
