The Bristol City Council Primary Admissions Department manages the whole admissions process. The Hillcrest office team can advise you who to contact and when but we have no influence over how places are allocated and we do not hold a waiting list in school.

2024 Reception Intake

If your child's 5th birthday will fall between 1st September 2024 and 30th August 2025 they are due to start school in September 2024. 

The deadline for applications was midnight on 15^th January 2024.

The offers were sent out on 16th April.

In Year Applications

If you wish to apply for a place at Hillcrest for an older child, or during the school year, call Sue Cockle in our school office - 0117 3772440 - to find out if there is a place available and arrange a time for one of us to show you around the school. The application process and allocation of places is handled by the BCC Primary Admissions Department.

The number of children at Hillcrest

Our School Governors have set the maximum class size at 30 children, to allow the most flexible and effective use of our refurbished, undersized, Victorian building.

We have two form entry - two classes of 30 children in each year group.
