The Bristol City Council Primary Admissions Department manages the whole admissions process. The Hillcrest office team can advise you who to contact and when but we have no influence over how places are allocated and we do not hold a waiting list in school.

September 2024 Reception intake

If your child's 5th birthday will fall between 1st September 2024 and 30th August 2025 they are due to start school in September 2024. 

The deadline for applications was midnight on 15^th January 2024.

The offers were sent out on 16th April.

The deadline for applications will be midnight on 15^th January 2025.

The offers will be sent out in April.

Open Days

Our open days for parents of children due to start in September 2025 will be:

• Thursday 19th September at 3.30pm
• Friday 20th September at 11am
• Monday 7th October at 4pm
• Tuesday 8th October at 12pm

In Year Applications

Our current vacancies are displayed on the rolling banner on the home screen.

If you wish to apply for a place at Hillcrest for an older child, or during the school year, call Cat Cox in our school office - 0117 3772440 - to arrange a time for one of us to show you around the school.

Please note, though, that the application process, waiting lists and allocation of places are dealt with by the Bristol City Council Primary Admissions Department.

The number of children at Hillcrest

Our School Governors have set the maximum class size at 30 children, to allow the most flexible and effective use of our refurbished, undersized, Victorian building.

We have two form entry - two classes of 30 children in each year group.
