Well done to the children recognised with an Achievement Award this week.

A very well done to our Hillcrest Harriers who bedazzled Broomhill with their quick passing and no little skill at Redcatch Park yesterday, winning 5-0. They are a credit to the school.

 

In 2022, the Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. A special Bank Holiday has been announced. As this falls in the May half term, schools are being given an extra day’s holiday to mark this event.

We will be taking this on Friday 27th May 2022, at the start of the half term break.

 

 

Our Hillcrest Hoops had their final games of their four-week basketball tournament on Friday. Our A team finished 5th out of 24 teams, with our B team finishing 16th. We are so proud of the amazing teamwork and bags of skill they displayed over their 20 games. We are already looking forward to their next games in the new year.

 

Well done to Joseph T, Harris E, Sam A, Mohamadou D, Solly T-L, Ellie S, Aidan B, Rufus W, Joe S, Beth R, Phoebe D, Jojo T, Sophia K, Arthur W, Max R, Riley H, Otto B, Freddie H and Tilly N.

Congratulations to the children who achieved a Celebration Award this week.

 

As I'm sure you are aware, the children at Hillcrest try to show our Four Elements every day.

 

Peter in Yr 4 has put Resilience, Partnership, Excellence and Innovation together as he and his older brother Elliott constructed this amazing model of a Ford pick-up truck.

 

We were bowled over by his achievement and are so proud of him.

 

Well done, Peter. 

 

 

And the less said about Mr McIntyre's photography skills the better.

 

Once again, our Hillcrest Hoops did us proud in the third week of their four-week tournament.

 

The A team remain undefeated after 14 games and our B team are picking up more and more wins every week.

 

Partnerships in action! 

Our Hillcrest Hoops enjoyed another successful evening in the second week of a four-week basketball tournament, winning five games, drawing two and only losing one. Once again, they showed some fantastic team basketball and super shooting to wow the watching crowd in the balcony.
